Psychedelic Integration Therapy in Los Angeles
A psychedelic experience can be one of the most profound and disorienting things a person goes through. Integration therapy is the process of making sense of what happened - weaving the insights, emotions, and images from a non-ordinary state into the fabric of your everyday life.
Without integration, even the most powerful experience can fade, fragment, or leave you more confused than when you started. With the right therapeutic support, it can become a genuine turning point.
What Is Psychedelic Integration Therapy?
Psychedelic integration is a specialised form of therapy that helps people process and apply insights from experiences with psychedelic substances - including psilocybin, MDMA, ayahuasca, ketamine, LSD, and others - whether those experiences happened in a clinical trial, a ceremonial context, or independently.
Integration therapy is not the same as psychedelic-assisted therapy. You do not use any substances during integration sessions. The work is purely psychotherapeutic - exploring what came up, understanding it in the context of your life, and deciding how to act on it.
When to Seek Integration Support
After a challenging or overwhelming psychedelic experience
After a positive experience that you want to build on rather than let fade
When insights from a medicine experience haven't translated into real-world change
When you're preparing for an upcoming psychedelic experience and want professional support
When you're processing ongoing experiences with non-ordinary states of consciousness

What Integration Sessions Look Like
Integration sessions are individual therapy sessions of 50–80 minutes. Your therapist will work with you to:
Understand and make meaning of what arose during the experience
Process any difficult material - fear, grief, confusion, or spiritual overwhelm
Identify the insights and intentions most relevant to your life
Develop a practical plan for embodying those insights day-to-day
Navigate any ongoing or challenging effects in the weeks following
Sessions draw on a range of modalities depending on what feels most useful - somatic awareness, Jungian active imagination, IFS, narrative therapy, and mindfulness-based approaches.
Entheogenic & Ceremonial Integration
NEST clinicians have experience supporting clients integrating experiences from ayahuasca ceremonies, ibogaine treatment, peyote and other plant medicine traditions, as well as more contemporary ceremonial contexts. We hold these traditions with respect while providing grounded clinical support.
